Ursa Major
Ursa Major is one of the most iconic constellations in the northern sky, best known for the asterism known as the Big Dipper within its borders.
Rich in beautiful stars (eg. Mizar and Algol), it hosts several galaxies, including the pair M81 and M82, and is deeply rooted in mythology and navigational traditions across cultures all over the world.
For us stargazers in the northern hemisphere, Ursa Major is visible throughout the year. Use your 7x42 binoculars in a dark place for best viewing.
